All-On-4 Treatment
The All-On-4 treatment concept is a technique in which a fixed full arch prosthetic restoration is placed on 4-6 implants in the same day as the surgical operation. This treatment provides patient satisfaction by taking into account function, aesthetics, taste, speech, and self-confidence.
The All-on-4 treatment concept is a technique where a fixed full-arch prosthetic restoration is placed on 4-6 implants in a single day using the same titanium screw mechanism found in traditional implants. This treatment provides patient satisfaction by considering function, aesthetics, taste, speech, and confidence.
The main difference between traditional implants and All-on-4 implants is how they are positioned in the mouth. While 8 to 10 implants are required to replace missing teeth in a completely edentulous jaw using traditional implants, only 4 implants are needed with this new technique.
Two implants are placed in the thickest part of the bone in the front and two implants are placed in the back of the jawbone. The front implants are placed at a 90-degree angle, while the back implants are placed at a 45-degree angle to provide maximum stability. After the 4 implants are placed, bridges or crowns are attached to the implants.
For the All-on-4 treatment, temporary prosthetics are prepared based on measurements taken from the patient before treatment. If the patient has teeth that need to be extracted, they are removed while the implants are being placed under local anesthesia. The temporary prosthetics are then attached to the implants using the measurements taken. After 3 months, the patient's permanent prosthetics are attached.
What are the advantages of the All-on-4 treatment?
The All-on-4 treatment is completed quickly, and you can quickly achieve a healthy appearance. It is more economical than the traditional implant method for patients who are completely edentulous or at risk of becoming completely edentulous. The angled placement of the implants also prevents damage to anatomical structures by relying on the areas with better bone quality for support. The All-on-4 treatment is a long-term proven treatment that can be monitored for up to 10 years in the lower jaw and up to 5 years in the upper jaw.
